It’s time to grab the reigns and get control of your life. Your past does not have to control your future. This is your life, no one else’s. The version of yourself that you want to be. The goal is to thrive during this tumultuous time, not just survive.
Together we'll identify your goals and build pathways to reach them.
We'll work on building rituals that serve you—your body, mind, and spirit.
You'll step into yourself, recognize your purpose and build a life around it.
We'll acknowledge any past traumas and build a life of purpose and happiness despite them.
Together we’ll work on getting your energy flowing and your life moving in the direction you want.
Here is the rest of my story and why I think I can help you….
I am an only child of two alcoholic parents that divorced when I was 4 and 7. Yes, they remarried somewhere in there. I remember mediating their fights from the young age of 5. My mom raised me. I visited my dad every other weekend when he lived close enough. When I got older, and we lived in different states, it was one holiday and two weeks in the summer. Dad was fun when he sobered up, but also extremely selfish, self-centered and had a “my way or the highway” attitude. Yet, I always wanted to impress him. Mom hid her vodka. And she cried. All. Of. The. Time. Every night, it seemed like, I was counseling her about something my stepdad did. It was exhausting. I really never got to be a kid. They have both passed on. I made the choice at a young age to be nothing like either of them.
I got divorced after 18 years of marriage. I married again. I chose to not have children. With those role models, I wasn’t very keen on it.
I am not connected to any one place. I have moved a lot in my life. Home is where my furkids are. I am getting used to starting over and reinventing myself again and again. It’s not easy. I know how to quickly get established in a new place, start making friends and create the life I want. I learned the hard way, by jumping in and going for it. Believe me, the big move from Las Vegas to tiny little Alamogordo, NM was almost the life of me. Many lessons were learned.
One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned as an adult is figuring out who I was without a career. Who is Remi when a job doesn’t define her. That stung. It was quite the process. I’m glad I went through it, but it sure sucked at the time.
Through all of this and more, I have learned how important self-love and self-care is.
